COURSE DESCRIPTION:This class is designed for Technicians who have already completed the online Digital Multimeter Basics Certification online class. In this class, students will be instructed in theory and hands-on operation for troubleshooting of the Engine Control Systems, Aftertreatment Systems, Fuel Systems and repair procedures on the PACCAR MX Engine family. Hotel & Lunch Included.

COURSE OBJECTIVES: After completing this class, the Technician will be able to demonstrate the use of the PACCAR DAVIE diagnostic tool, fault codes, troubleshooting and repair procedures for the Aftertreatment, Sensors, Electronic Controls and other repairs associated with the PACCAR MX engine.

    • Describe Exhaust flow and Components of the Aftertreatment Systems

    • Demonstrate Diagnostic Functions using and other special tooling

    • Demonstrate the ability to interpret the wiring diagrams regarding the PACCAR MX

    • Identify and demonstrate the available ECM Diagnostic Tests
    • Demonstrate the repair for the multi-pin connector
    • Demonstrate wire and harness repairs using correct PACCAR MX repair kits and tools

    • Hands on skills will be scored during classroom activities

GENERAL COURSE INFORMATION:

  • All classes are 4 days | Tuesday-Thursday 8am-5pm | Friday 8am-1pm
  • Class costs include hotel stay, lunch, and TriTech provided equipment.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

  • Laptop: Diagnostic laptops will be provided. However, we encourage students to bring their own
  • Safety: Eye & ear protection, safety masks and gloves will be provided. Steel toe shoes and long pants required
  • Meals: Lunch and drinks will be provided daily. Additionally, the Hotel provides breakfast every morning from 7am-9am

LOCATION: ETT Training Center

TRITECH Expert Technician Training Center is in New Braunfels, TX. The San Antonio, TX airport (SAT) is 35.5 miles from training center while the Austin, TX airport (AUS) is 47 miles from ETT training center. Please plan on arriving the Monday prior to class starting on Tuesday and departing Fridays 3:00pm or after.

SAFETY FIRST

Technicians must bring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety shoes, eye protection and ear protection. All safety procedures and warnings must be followed. High pressure fuel and temperature warning. Exposure to rotating components. Always watch out for each other and if see any liquid spills, please clean up immediately. (See attached Covid-19 protocol when registering for class).
